We operate the Tekhni mobile application ("the App"), an on-demand platform connecting customers with licensed tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, and gas engineers) in Greece.

3. How We Use Your Data


We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match customers with the nearest available verified tradesman
  • Enable real-time GPS tracking during active jobs
  • Process payments and subscriptions via Stripe
  • Send push notifications about job status, matches, and payments
  • Verify tradesman identity and professional qualifications
  • Resolve disputes between customers and tradesmen
  • Comply with UK, Greek, and EU legal obligations
  • Improve the App based on usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.


4. Location Data


Customers: We collect your location when posting a job to find the nearest available tradesman. Location is not tracked continuously.

Tradesmen: When you accept a job and mark yourself as online, your real-time GPS location is broadcast to the matched customer for tracking purposes. This broadcasting stops when the job is completed or you go offline. You can withdraw consent at any time by toggling offline in the App, though this will prevent job matching.

Location data is stored as part of your job records for dispute resolution purposes and deleted after 12 months.

8. Security


  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Passwords hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Database access restricted by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies
  • Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe — we never store card numbers
  • Verification documents stored in private, access-controlled storage buckets
  • Access to production systems limited to authorised personnel only


9. Children


Tekhni is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us at privacy@strategicbisolutions.com and we will delete the account promptly.


10. UK GDPR and EU GDPR


Strategic Solutions (Northern) Ltd is a UK-registered company. As we offer services to individuals in the EU/EEA, we are subject to both the UK GDPR and EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). We process EU user data under the EU GDPR and have implemented appropriate transfer mechanisms for any data flows between the UK and EU.


11. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
